Shudarson Subedi
Executive Director
Mr. Shudarson Subedi is a pioneering disability and human rights advocate with over 30 years of national and international experience. He is Nepal’s first public interest litigant in the disability rights sector and has played a leading role in shaping disability-inclusive laws, policies, and institutional mechanisms in Nepal.
He has served as National President of the National Federation of the Disabled Nepal, Global Treasurer of Disabled Peoples’ International (DPI), and as a disability desk advisor at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers. An ASHOKA Fellow and recipient of the Champion of Change Award, Mr. Subedi has represented civil society at global forums including the UN Sustainable Development Summit, OHCHR Geneva, and other international platforms.
At DHRPS, he leads strategic vision, advocacy on deinstitutionalization, child rights, access to justice, and inclusive governance, while strengthening partnerships with government, donors, and civil society.
Narad Prasad Adhikari
Finance & Administration Officer
Mr. Narad Prasad Adhikari is responsible for financial management, administration, procurement, and compliance at DHRPS. With more than a decade of experience in finance and administrative systems, he ensures transparent budgeting, accurate financial reporting, timely audits, and compliance with donor and statutory requirements. His role is critical in maintaining strong internal controls and operational efficiency.
Bhawana Majhi
Program Officer
Ms. Bhawana Majhi is an Indigenous activist, disability rights advocate, and filmmaker, currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work. She brings a powerful intersectional perspective grounded in Indigenous rights, disability justice, gender equality, climate justice, and child rights.
She is a Fellow of the Asia Indigenous Peoples Pact (AIPP), ARROW Advocacy Institute (AAI), Disability Justice Project, Gender Action and Climate Champions Academy, Women of the South Speak Out (WOSSO), AYNI, and OMLAS, and is also a Member of the U.S. Embassy Youth Council Nepal. She has represented Nepal in global advocacy spaces including AWID and UNFCCC COP29.
Her extensive engagement has given her deep knowledge of national and international human rights frameworks, including CEDAW, UNDRIP, and the CRPD, with a particular focus on the lived realities of Indigenous persons with disabilities.
At DHRPS, she leads and supports programs on SRHR, climate justice, youth leadership, and disability inclusion, empowering young Indigenous women and girls with disabilities to become agents of change in their communities. She actively works to create space for women with disabilities in national and global platforms, amplifying grassroots voices and shifting dominant narratives. She firmly believes in the power of determination, collective action, and community-led change.
