On 6 May 2025, the Disability Human Rights Promotion Society Nepal (DHRPS), together with Global Compact Nepal and other collaborators, held a productive planning and partnership meeting in preparation for the upcoming workshop scheduled for 15 May 2025 in Kathmandu. This workshop is part of a broader vision outlined in our concept to promote entrepreneurship among persons with disabilities and marginalized communities.
The meeting focused on strategies to make the workshop more impactful particularly by empowering youth with disabilities from excluded communities. The workshop will provide practical skills in resume building, interview preparation, and job placement pathways, ensuring participants are equipped to pursue meaningful careers and business opportunities.
Discussions also emphasized the long-term vision of building an inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem where disability inclusion is integrated with the promotion of sustainable local products. This approach aims to bridge economic gaps, foster innovation, and encourage ethical, community-driven markets.
Through this initiative, DHRPS and its partners are addressing the economic invisibility of persons with disabilities while unlocking untapped social and economic potential. By promoting inclusive innovation and sustainable livelihoods, we aim to ensure meaningful representation and opportunities for all creating a society where no one is left behind.
